The Dental Studio supports National Smile Month 2018
The Dental Studio, based in Wakefield is supporting National Smile Month, which is an annual month of awareness promoting good oral health from 14th May to 14th June, 2018.
National Smile Month is the largest and longest-running campaign to highlight the importance of dental hygiene. It is about sharing positive messages and engaging others in developing and maintaining a healthy mouth.
Unless you’ve been directly affected by dental problems such as gum disease, or know someone that has, it can be difficult to understand how painful it can be. And with a staggering third of all adults admitting that they haven’t visited a dentist in the last two years – this is a key issue in public health that needs addressing.
The Dental Studio supports the three key messages highlighted throughout the campaign, all of which should be performed by each patient, especially children:
- Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Cut down on how much and how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
- Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
We’re keen to support National Smile Month throughout May and June, at a time where people across the globe can focus on looking after their teeth and oral health. At The Dental Studio, we think the first step to oral health is through having a FREE consultation at our practice with our treatment co-ordinator to have a look around the practice and discuss the best dental treatment for you.
The team at The Dental Studio want to ensure all their patients have the knowledge they need to ensure their teeth and gums remain as healthy as possible.
If you’re thinking about having dental treatment or would like some advice, now is the perfect opportunity for you to book a FREE consultation to discuss your options on improving your oral health, contact us today!
