The Dental Studio get into the community spirit
The Dental Studio are mostly known for their expertise in dental care, however their generosity doesn’t stop there, from donating to football clubs to supporting fashion events, Take a look at some of the amazing work that’s been achieved this year by the award winning team.
The Dental Studio donated £250 to Woodkirk Valley Football Club under 14’s football tour, which is taking place in April 2019. This pays the registration fee for the tournament and helps towards paying for the players who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to go.
Alongside this, the football club is also holding a fashion show and gift fair on Friday 9th November at Woodkirk Valley Country Club. To support the club and raise funds, the practice will be attending the event and purchasing a full table.
At the event the team will be offering FREE 3D digital scans to attendees worth £250 which will showcase what their teeth could look like after teeth straightening. The practice will also be hosting a prize draw to win a teeth whitening treatment worth £300!
The Dental Studio have also been a part of a very exciting project with East Ardsley Rocks, which is a Facebook group set up by a local childminders (Buttercup Lane childminders).
The idea is that children and adults paint rocks with various designs and hide them in a secret location. All of the children then go on a hunt to try and find the rocks, once they find one they take a photo, post it onto the East Ardsley Rocks Facebook page and re-hide it for someone else to find.
The idea is to encourage children’s outdoor learning:
- enhance personal and social communication skills
- increased physical health
- enhance spiritual and mental health
- enhanced spiritual, sensory and aesthetic awareness
- the ability to assert personal control and increase sensitivity to one’s own wellbeing.
Members of staff have been busy painting their very own Dental Studio rocks and hiding them. The lucky children who find them have been invited to attend the practice to receive a goody bag, promoting oral health within the community.
Martina Hodgson, Principal Dentist at The Dental Studio commented ‘’We are very proud to support these wonderful projects, promote oral health and bring our community closer! One day we had a very confused man come into the practice, he’d found a rock and said I think this belongs to you? We explained what it was all about but I think he was still a bit baffled! Just the fact that he came in and asked what we were doing proves that it was something worth talking about!
